by Hayley Wilkinson|15th February 2016

Throughout 2015, employees at Comfy Quilts worked together to raise a tremendous £10,000 for the Rochdale palliative care facility, Springhill Hospice.

Every department got involved, whether it was the sales team taking on a challenging Coast to Coast cycle, or the finance team dressing up for the Springhill Santa Dash, everyone got took part, raised money and above all enjoyed themselves.

Lillie Winterbottom, Community Fundraiser at Springhill Hospice told us how the £10,000 raised would help the hospice, The money Comfy Quilts has raised will keep the entire Hospice, Ward, Day Hospice, Counselling Service, Hospice at Home Service and all support services, running for an entire day.”

“The support of the local community is overwhelming but it’s not just the amount of money raised but also the huge efforts that people have gone to, all for the Hospice.  Thank you to everyone at Comfy Quilts, to the staff, the directors and of course to all those fantastic sponsors.”

Springy, the Hospice frog visited the Stakehill site in Middleton on 18th February to meet the team and collect our donation. He was also treated to a pillow fight, which is a Comfy Quilts tradition!

Jamie Moryoussef, Operations Director at Comfy Quilts commented, “Springhill Hospice is a charity that is close to our hearts here at Comfy Quilts, and we are delighted to support such a worthy cause. Their incredible work helps to make a difference in the local community and we look forward to continuing our support for them in the future.”

Well done to all of our employees who contributed to raising money for Springhill Hospice in 2015.
